ABURA ASEBU KWAMANKESE DISTRICT MARKS GHANA'S INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION

Ghana celebrates 67 years since gaining independence from its former colonial rulers, the British, today, March 6, 2024.

Every year on March 6, celebrations take place nationwide and among Ghanaians living in abroad.

Abura Asebu Kwamankese District has also marked the independence day celebration in Abakrampa.

This year's theme was centred on the theme, Our Democracy; Our Pride.

Speaking at the event, The District Chief Executive of Abura Asebu Kwanmankese District, Hon. Willyevans Obiri Awuah encouraged all citizens to uphold and promote the democracy of this country.

He added that, democracy is all about government of the people, by the people and for the people. 'Protecting the rights and justice of the individual is a hallmark of democracy', He added.


The District Director of Education of Abura Asebu Kwamankese, Mrs. Dorcas Brenda Asare delivering a speech at the event, urged all students to be discipline because discipline is the hallmark of every achiever.

       The event brought chiefs, politicians and other dignitaries together.






The celebration was also marked at the circuit level in communities such as Abura Dunkwa and Ayeldu in the district.
