The Teacher Unions Have Called Off Strike

 

The three teacher unions namely,Ghana National Association Of Teachers (GNAT), National Association Of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT) and Coalition Of Concerned Teachers -Ghana (CCT- GH) have called off their industrial strike that took effect on 20th March,2024.

This is as a result of interlocutory injunction secured by the National Labour Commission (NLC).

Addressing the media today,the president of National Association Of Graduate Teachers,Mr Angel Carbonu urged Ghana Education Service, Ministry of Education, National Labour Commission, Ministry of Employment And Labour Relations and Fair Wages And Salary Commission to commence negotiations with the union leaders immediately and also to see to it that, negotiations end in the interest of Ghanaian Teacher.

Teachers are therefore informed to return to the classroom tomorrow 3rd April, 2024.
