Peace and unity needed for community development -Nana Kwasi Ankah VIII

The Tufuhene of Abura State,Nana Kwasi Ankah VIII has apprised that, the development of every community depends on peace and unity.

He explained that, it is the role of the citizenry to be united  for the progress of the communities we found ourselves.

Nana Kwasi Ankah VIII made this statement during a colourful launching of Okyir Kese Festival celebrated by the people of Abura Old Odonase on Sunday June 30,2024.

'The focus of this year's festival celebration is to mobilize funds for the construction of a community center and also aid the development of the only basic school in this community' says Nana Kwasi Ankah VIII.

In attendance were chiefs and other dignitaries from near and afar.




The chairperson for the occasion, Madam Rose Margaret Bubeng speaking on the theme 'Peace, unity and community development,the role of the citizenry' encouraged the people of Abura Old Odonase to rally behind every good thing that brings development into their community and she is ready to support the community with the vision to have community center.

Hon. Napoleon Nsarkoh Tawiah (Presiding Member of Abura Asebu Kwamankese District) in an exclusive interview with Ofoforo Radio, advised the youth to be very vigilant and avoid any form of disturbances as the country prepares to go to polls this December. 

The festival will be celebrated this year from July 29 to August 5.
