God's General, Apostle Dr. M.K Ntumy Goes Home Today

The burial and memorial service has been held for the former Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Michael Ntumy who passed away some weeks ago.

The event was held at the forecourt of the state house,Accra.

 Michael Ntumy was born in Dadieso in Oti Region, Ghana on 22 September 1958.He was a teacher in Yendi in the 1980s before, becoming a Deacon and Elder, before marrying Martha at 24. He began full-time ministry at 26 with the Church of Pentecost. He was called to the office of an Apostle at 33 and six years after, was elected the fourth Chairman of The Church of Pentecost. After serving two terms (10 years), he handed over to Opoku Onyinah.

Ntumy was held hostage during the First Librarian Civil War attacks on his life ranging from physical assaults to poisoning and later suffered paralysis leading to use of a wheelchair. He served the church in Liberia and Ivory Coast


Apostle Michael Ntumy was very dedicated to the work of God and even continued to work in God's ministry when he was in wheelchair.

The burial service brought so many dignitaries to pay their last respect to him.



The Vice President and Presidential Flag bearer of the NPP, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia,the former president and NDC presidential Flag bearer His Excellency John Dramani Mahama,Chief of Staff, Members of Parliament, Ministers of state, The Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Nyamekye and the Executive Council Members, Ministers of the church of Pentecost and other Ministers of churches were all present. 

Apostle Dr. Michael Ntumy,God's Chosen General responded to his Maker's call on 27th December 2023, at the age of 65.

May God grant him eternal rest.
